To register to vote, you may:
- Complete our On-line Voter Registration form.
- Call 1-800-345-VOTE and request that a state form be mailed to you.
In order to vote by mail for the next election, please visit our Vote-By-Mail web page, where you will find a downloadable vote-by-mail ballot application. The form must be received by your county elections official between 29 days and 7 days before the election.

Every registered voter receives notification if his or her polling place is accessible. This information is provided on the back page of the sample ballot mailed to you by your county.
The Polling Place Accessibility Checklist is used to evaluate California polling places for access by voters with disabilities. It has been adapted for one-day use of polling places. The accessibility standards used in this survey comply with Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).

The Secretary of State has approved several voting systems that have enhanced equipment. We look forward to approving more voting equipment that is enhanced for use by voters with disabilities, provided those systems meet state and federal requirements for privacy, security, and accuracy.
