Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Celebrate the traditional Day of the Dead / Día de los Muertos on November 2, 2012 with from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in front of the Downtown Redwood City Public Library.
Attendees can enjoy the altars created by Redwood City residents, local crafts people demonstrating and selling wares, a procession, catrinas face painting, children’s activities, music and food throughout the evening. There will be several booth vendors of traditional Día De los Muertos food such as, hot chocolate, pan de muerto, tamales and more!
Special Guest Redwood City Mayor, Alicia Aguirre. And, as part of this celebration guest artist Luis Pinedo will display an art installation at the Redwood City Art Center located at 2625 Broadway Street on View from October 16th till Nov. 3rd.
The Día de los Muertos event is sponsored by Circulo Cultural, Redwood City Library Foundation, Federacion Jaliscience, Chavez Market, Paula & Peter Ucelli Foundation, Community Consultants Group, Nuri’s Donut House, Swinerton Management & Consulting, N4 Design Lab and the Redwood City Public Library.
